Virgo Rising – January 2013
For you Virgo, the new year would have been a lively time for enjoying yourself, celebrating and socializing and as January arrives your enthusiasm for life will not be diminished. For the first three weeks of the month, your love life will be of great importance to you and fun times can be enjoyed with friends or your loved one. With the Sun and Mercury moving through your house of creativity, you will enjoy any hobbies that you do, arts and crafts, games or sports. Fun times will be had with children as well and you may be surprised and delighted with what they say and do. Mercury's square to Uranus early in the month is inventive and it's connection to Pluto on the 6th is revealing and these aspects may inspire you to find creative solutions to financial problems. Later in the month, these two planets join Mars in Aquarius in the area of your chart associated with work, routine and health. Having Virgo rising you do identify with service of any kind and you know life cannot all be fun and games, so you will appreciate and relish the work you now be compelled to do. This is also a time to get a grip on your health and diet, by becoming more aware or what you eat and how much exercise you are doing.
Venus starts January in your 4th house of family issues and relations, and this should have brought you feeling gentle and relaxed at home with your loved ones over Christmas and into the first week of the new year. As it enters Capricorn on 9th January, it starts to square to Uranus and conjunct with Pluto, an aspect which could precipitate emotional and intense encounters with people and lovers. This will be very relevant on or around 13th to 17th January as emotions run high. Later in the month as the Sun enters Aquarius and then goes on to make an expansive trine to Jupiter on the 26th and at this time you may feel like you want to contribute more in your work. The problem in this may be that with Mercury and the Sun soon square to the Saturn a couple of days later, will you be allowed to do so? The Leo full Moon on 27th occurs in your 12th house, bringing a quieter phase in your life into full view, a time when you might have to sit on the side lines for a while and suffer a bit while others get the glory.
