Libra Rising – February 2013
For you, the Sun in the first three weeks of the month will be passing through your 5th house of children and creativity and for you this time of year is normally great fun. The Sun is very settled here and whether you are socialising or being creative, playing sport or engaging with children, life will seem quite light hearted and the more weighty and serious issues facing you will melt away for a while. Into the last third of the month and the Sun passes into the your 6th house and as this happens you will concentrate more on your work, routine and the state of your health. Venus spends most of the month in your 5th house too, so life will be more fun than it recently has been and you should be in an excellent mood. This is a time when you can enjoy yourself thoroughly, socialize with friends and no doubt you will have a great time if you get chance to go out to any sports or entertainment events. Relationships with the one you love will be fulfilling and romantic however beware of hurting your love one on 10th or 11th February. Saturn makes a nasty square to Venus and arguments and hurt over the most trivial f things could ensue. The new Moon on 10th will focus it’s light on the matters of children and affairs of the heart now too.
Mercury and Mars will be spending most of this month in your 6th house as well. This is a house of service and so your efforts may well be directed to helping or aiding someone in some way, be it your boss or clients and customers. This is a great time to do any detailed or mentally challenging work, you will be able to plan and strategize very effectively. Discussions and dealing with work colleagues and employers should go smoothly, although be careful of not being over critical with them. Mars is a rather selfish influence and as such, it can lead you into conflicts, as you will want to be the one who does the work to gain credit. At this point in Mars’ cycle you will prefer to be working on your own rather than as part of a team. Health wise, you will be very conscious of your diet and what you are eating & you may be in a mood to do some active fitness work to keep yourself healthy. If you are not active, then health problems could crop up, especially related to stress or frustration. Mercury stations on 23rd February and then switches into retrograde motion. Mercury will affect your everyday routine, so watch out for unexpected changes in your normal activities; Mercury is asking you to be far more flexible in nature now. The full Moon on 25th in Virgo making a square to Jupiter lands in your 12th house. The need to have some independent time for yourself is strong and this desire will allow you work out what changes you need to make to reinvigorate your life. It is possible that something you learn now will affect your daily routine, relationships with work colleagues or the state of your health.
Jupiter and Saturn both change direction in February. At the start of the month Jupiter in Gemini is stationary and finally starts progressing in direct motion. Saturn by contrast grinds to a halt and turns retrograde on 18th February in Scorpio. Jupiter is currently passing through your 9th house of higher learning, law, international travel and faith so these areas of life will become much more of a focus in the coming months as you open out to philosophies, new faith and beliefs, to culture and to people of a different origin to your own. You may get the chance to travel, through choice or by necessity now or people of learning and knowledge may enter your life making you aware of new possibilities. Saturn is to be found in your 2nd house of personal finance and possessions and Saturn here can hold you to account over exactly what you need financially and possessions wise to live. You will be making a reassessment of your spending habits now as well as your personal values, what you find important to your life and what is expendable. Saturn will be testing you to the full to make sure that you only have what you require.
