Libra Rising – January 2013
For you with Libra rising, the New Year begins on a domestic and family note with your Sun and Mercury moving quietly through you 4th house. This is a time of sorting things out at home and not venturing out so often, so quiet nights in and cuddling up on the sofa with the one you love may be order of the day for the first couple of weeks. Mercury's early trine to Jupiter is expansive and possibly fortunate in a financial sense and it's sextile to Saturn brings you a chance to organise your finances with your partner. Mars is passing through your 5th house in January, so you will now feel particularly creative and competitive. This is time when you will enjoy sports and games, being artistic and testing yourself to the full. This is the house of love and affairs, so you may have a stronger attraction to lovemaking and sex than is normally the case and children in your life will be highlighted here too. On 7th Mars makes a square to Saturn, so someone may put a barrier in your way stopping you from doing what you want to do.
Venus, Libra's ruler is moving in your 3rd house, the sector of your chart tied to local issues, neighbours and brothers and sisters. In truth, these parts of your life should be quite settled now and relations with these people should be going well. You will enjoy the beauty and nature of your local surroundings, indeed you should feel at peace with yourself if you get chance to go out and about in your local neighbourhood. In mid month once Venus has moved into Capricorn and your domestic 4th house, family relations may get a little more heated and passionate as Venus conjoins with Pluto and squares to Uranus. Unexpected events surrounding family members may now occur between 13th and 17th of the month. You may have big ideas and big plans for travel or study, as the Sun makes a trine to Jupiter on 26th January but something may come along to put a halt proceedings very soon as the Sun and Mercury square Saturn. The Leo full Moon on 27th January occurs in your 11th house of hopes and dreams. Friends and groups may offer some assistance to you, but you may have a pay a price first to get their full backing.
