Background influences for October
During the first three weeks of October your Sun will be in the main in your 8th house. This is a particularly intense few weeks that may see you psycho-analysing why you are feeling on edge and looking at your inner self and getting to know it better. Changes are happening to you on a level that you may not quite understand. This house is associated with death, and an aspect of your life may end now, allowing room for new experiences to enter. It is possible that an encounter with someone will shake up your personal value system quite radically now. This is also the house of shared resources and the effect of the Sun being here may make you very aware of any shared finances, debt, investments or potential loans that you need to take out. The Sun opens out into the 9th house in the last week of October and so do your ideas and desires as you feel the urge to explore and to learn about new things and experience things that you never done before.
Mercury is passing through your 9th house of higher learning, beliefs and travel so your motivation to learn new skill s and experience new things is high. If you are interested in learning a new language, this is a super time to start, indeed learning new skills and meeting new people whose culture, language or beliefs differ to your own will inspire you to learn more about the way they live. In truth, anything that stirs your intellect is good for you now and may people start new study courses under this influence or go back to school. It is possible that you may have to deal with legal issues in some way and if you are on you travels, you will find your trip opens you to new horizons.
Venus this month is in your 7th house of permanent relationships, so more than likely you marriage or important relationships in your life should be quite settled. Venus is the planet of love and there should be plenty of love to show and receive between you and your permanent partner. Relationships of all sorts, both personal and professional should be harmonious, even with enemies and people who oppose you. If there is a chance to make peace and bury the hatchet, these weeks in October may be the time to do so.
From the 5th through to the 7th 3 planets all change signs, Mars into Sagittarius and Mercury and Saturn simultaneously into Scorpio. Over the next few weeks in your work and career you will want to be more involved and have more of a say, but this can lead you to create people to fight against you. You still don’t know everything though, and you may find that those with a bit more experience can still teach you a trick or two.
Specific Planetary Aspects
Early into the month and on the 3rd October we have a Venus Neptune opposition squared by Mars. This is a time when your beliefs may be strengthened but please be careful not to impose your own views on other people. In your daily routine at work, you may have to make some sacrifices on behalf of your work colleagues or do more menial tasks than you would like to do. Do them with grace and try not to complain too much.
We have a new Moon on 15th in Libra occurring in your 8th house. If you are considering borrowing any money or taking out a loan, then this could be a beneficial time to do so; any issues involving shared money, dealing with debt or other people's property are also favoured around now. Matters of intimacy and sex are highlighted, and you and your partner may find your relationship deepening and intensifying.
On the 17th Uranus receives a double hit from Mars and Pluto. This is probably a time of unstable finances and so you may be getting used to the idea that things aren’t as easy as they used to be. Mars fuels your ambitions now to make the changes to you need to improve those finances. Look for that job opportunity or those financial incentives, they are out there if you look. On the 25th October, the Sun meets Saturn in Scorpio trine to Neptune. This is quite a spiritual aspect because of the position on Neptune in it’s own house and sign. You may have to make a sacrifice or two now, and even if people are turning you down or giving you disappointing news especially in regard to your financial situation, in sharing or borrowing money, you will have the faith and resolve to get through any difficulties. Indeed your faith and your belief in yourself and how you are living your life is building and building, and through this you should be getting stronger and stronger.
The full Moon occurs in Taurus in your 3rd house opposing Saturn on 29th October. Phone calls, emails and interventions from brothers and sisters or neighbours may all keep you incredibly busy and you may react in an unusual way and be on edge more than normal. Expect to make lots of short journeys, receive mountains of letters and have paperwork to do as well as having an increased interest in the news and what is going on in the world. Any legal issues or news from abroad may prove to be unwelcome distractions for you.
